HASANAH.ID – President Prabowo Subianto has called on all government officials to show a good example of simplicity to the public as the Eid al-Fitr (Idulfitri) holiday approaches. This message was delivered by the President during a Plenary Cabinet Meeting at the State Palace on Friday, March 13, 2026.
In his speech, President Prabowo sent his best wishes to those who will be traveling back to their hometowns for the mudik tradition. He hopes that everyone can travel safely and take care of themselves while they are with their families.
“For those who are planning to go mudik, I want to wish you a safe journey in advance. Please take care of yourselves at home,” said President Prabowo.
Additionally, President Prabowo reminded his ministers and officials to celebrate Eid simply. He suggested that events like “Open House” gatherings should not be done excessively, so the government can set a good example for the people.
“I think we must lead by example. If we hold an open house, let’s not make it too luxurious. In this current situation, we should show a modest example to the people. However, we shouldn’t cancel all events either, because we still need to keep the economy moving,” the President added.
