President Prabowo Summons Housing Minister to Hambalang, Accelerates Subsidized Housing Program

HASANAH.ID – President Prabowo Subianto on Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2026, summoned Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait to his private residence in Hambalang.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said in a written statement that the meeting discussed a number of strategic government measures to accelerate the provision of decent and affordable housing for the public.

“President Prabowo received the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas, Maruarar Sirait, at his private residence in Hambalang on January 29, 2026. The meeting, which lasted more than one hour, discussed several housing-related issues,” Teddy said as reported by Hasanah.id via the official website of the President of the Republic of Indonesia (presiden.go.id) on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
According to the Cabinet Secretary, President Prabowo received an update on the progress of several subsidized housing projects currently being prepared by the government. One of them is the land clearing of a 30-hectare site in Cikarang, which will be used for the construction of subsidized apartment buildings.
