The controversy erupted as newly released documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein resurfaced global attention toward figures mentioned inside the files including former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Viral Message Sparks Outrage
The X account @iranmilitary24 posted a blunt and highly provocative statement that quickly spread across timelines worldwide.
“Dear Americans, Your president is a pedophile”
The post appeared shortly after the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) made public thousands of additional records connected to Epstein’s sex-trafficking network. The timing amplified the impact, drawing reactions ranging from anger and disbelief to political point-scoring.
Why Trump’s Name Is Back in the Spotlight
What fueled the jab from the Iran-linked account is the sheer volume of references tied to Trump within the released materials.
Reports from major U.S. media outlets indicate there are more than 38,000 references connected to Trump across the trove of documents. These mentions include not only his name but also members of his family and properties associated with him, such as Mar-a-Lago.
Compared with other public figures, the frequency is seen as striking, making Trump one of the most talked-about individuals in the archive.
However, the presence of a name in the documents does not automatically imply criminal wrongdoing.
A significant portion of the references reportedly consists of archived news clippings, old media reports, and publicly available photographs that Epstein was known to collect obsessively during his lifetime.
Trump has repeatedly denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and has stated in the past that he distanced himself from the disgraced financier years before the investigation exploded.
