Hasanah.id – The conflict involving the United States and Iran has reached a dangerous new phase, with both sides exchanging sharp warnings and intensifying military actions across the region.

At the center of the latest escalation is Donald Trump, who issued a stark ultimatum to Tehran. The US president warned that “all hell would rain down on” Iran if it refused to reach an agreement, further heightening already fragile tensions.

Tehran responded swiftly. An Iranian military spokesperson signaled that any further aggression would have devastating consequences for the broader region.

Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said:
“If hostility escalates, the entire region will turn into hell for you; the illusion of defeating the Islamic Republic of Iran will become a quagmire into which you will sink.”

This exchange of rhetoric underscores how volatile the situation between the US and Iran has become, with both sides showing no signs of backing down.

On Saturday, Iran launched additional missile strikes targeting Gulf states, Iraq, and Israel. Although many missiles were intercepted, falling debris still caused damage in several areas.

Meanwhile, US military operations have intensified. A US F-15 fighter jet was shot down over southern Iran, triggering a search-and-rescue mission. While the pilot has reportedly been rescued, a crew member remains missing.

Iranian authorities have urged citizens to locate the missing American “alive” and are even offering rewards for his capture—adding another layer of tension to the already dangerous situation.

In a related incident, a US A-10 Warthog aircraft involved in the rescue mission was also hit but managed to return safely after sustaining damage.

The ongoing conflict has effectively shut down the Strait of Hormuz for over a month—a critical global energy corridor through which roughly 20% of the world’s oil and gas typically flows.

As a result, global energy markets have been shaken. The price of Brent crude oil has surged from $73 to well above $100 per barrel in recent weeks, reflecting fears of prolonged supply disruption.

Although Iran has stated that “non-hostile vessels” can still pass, repeated attacks on ships have severely disrupted normal maritime activity.
