US President’s Ultimatum and Controversial Claims

On March 27, Trump announced a temporary pause in attacks on energy facilities, giving Iran 10 days to negotiate. However, his tone sharpened again over the weekend.

Posting on Truth Social, he reiterated that “all Hell will reign down on them” if Iran failed to comply within 48 hours or reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump also shared footage he described as a “massive strike” on Tehran, claiming that “many of Iran’s Military Leaders, who have led them poorly and unwisely, are terminated, along with much else”. However, the video appeared to be at least 24 hours old, and no independent confirmation has been provided.

One of the most alarming developments involves Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant. Iranian officials reported that the site had been attacked for the fourth time since the war began.

The International Atomic Energy Agency expressed “deep concern” over the incident, stressing that nuclear facilities must never be targeted.

“No increase in radiation levels was reported,” the agency noted, while urging “maximum military restraint” to prevent a potential nuclear disaster.

Despite the attack, Iranian authorities stated that the plant’s core operations remain intact. The facility, built with assistance from Russia, is Iran’s only operational nuclear power plant.
